SYNOPSIS
CREATORS OF TOMORROW
Three million families in Mexico are without electricity.
Ten percent of children in Haiti are orphans.
One billion people worldwide do not have access to clean water.
Through this 10 episode docu-series, we follow 3 social enterprises tackle major global issues, as they seek to reinvent the business model of an aid organization. In Mexico, IluMexico founders Manuel, Mariana and Gerardo attempt to bring light to the 3 million homes without electricity. Having to battle the toughest of roads and extreme weather conditions, the team relentlessly fights against the odds to bring their solar panel systems to the underserved communities of their home country. After witnessing the poverty of Haiti first hand, Katlin and Kari of Seattle have recently started Haiti Babi, a artisan baby blanket company which employs mothers in Haiti to keep their children out of orphanages. Starting any business is difficult, however running a sustainable business operating in the poorest country in the western hemisphere is proving to be particularly challenging. In a parallel storyline, we follow Haiti Babi’s most recent hire Resilia who struggles to earn enough money to-reconnect with her 4 year old orphaned daughter Angeline. Ex-professional surfer Jon Rose has now dedicated his life to bringing clean water access to the 1 billion people worldwide in need through his company Waves For Water. Men, women and children are dying from water born disease daily, and with big name partners like Paypal, Neymar and Hurley, Jon passionately aims to end this seemingly solvable solution. From the favelas of Brazil to the poorest regions of the Philippines and Haiti, Jon’s full throttle journey is as eye opening as it is inspiring.

Not only are the stories, visuals, and characters utterly compelling, the sense of gritty authenticity sets Creators of Tomorrow apart. This is three remarkable social enterprises, and three intriguing stories. This is Creators of Tomorrow.
