Waves For Water: Do what you love to do and help along the way

Pro-Surfer Jon Rose created his global humanitarian organization “Waves for Water” with a simple mission: to bring clean drinking water to everyone who needs it, and an unconventional motto: to have the time of his life while doing it. The 60-minute documentary follows pro-surfer Jon Rose as he delivers access to clean water to remote, poverty stricken parts of Haiti, the Philippines and Brazil. Personal, emotional interviews from Jon and those close to him detail the surprising events that lead the professional athlete to become a full time humanitarian, and how his grass roots organization grew from a one-off surf trip in Sumatra to an international NGO with brand partners like Paypal and BMW. Throughout it all, Jon’s love for life and refusal to equate humanitarianism with martyrdom shine through, as he surfs, motorcycles, sails and treks his way around the globe on his quest to end the world water crisis.
